President of the Rajasthan State Kabaddi association

Kabaddi is a phenomenal sport and is the second most popular viewed sport in India after cricket. It is impressively gaining a gradual popularity globally.Today, Kabaddi is being played in more than 36 countries at the intercontinental level. Nationally 31 states are the associations under Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India. Rajasthan State Kabaddi Association has been an integral part of the Federation and actively participates in all the activities of Kabaddi including but not limited to Championships, Tournaments and all the regular meetings.

The magnificent Cricket IPLs has been a venture of its own kind and today, it needs no introduction. Similarly, Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) series equally has gained all the desired attention of the sports admirersuniversally and has made its own remarkable position in the sports world. It is an exciting Kabaddi event enjoyed with absolute zeal and zest which is evident in each season every single time.

Couple of players in the team of PKL are from Rajasthan and ensured the state is earns well recognition and have represented their eminent talents

PKL matches are live telecasted on the renowned Star Sports and is an awaited sport series each time by all the sports dearing audience.

The players are picked up in the teams of PKL series for crores or for hefty lakhs & their transportation and other logistical arrangements are ensured to be of high standards by the organizers, which in itself speaks about the progress of this sportand its increased affording abilities by the organizers.

The diligent efforts are in all dimensions and every spectrum of the game and therefore, the technical aspectsare well taken care of as well and regular trainings are conducted at the domestic level and in addition are offered for the Technical Officials at the international level.

The coach should carefully design the interval training programme keeping in view the age, potential and experience of the Kabaddi player. Keeping these factors in view, the intensity or load of the work out, its duration and number of repetitions can be worked out. The repetitions can be gradually increased and the rest pauses of moderate to low intensity can be decreased, depending upon the standard and fitness of the players.

The best guide for deciding upon the intensity of the work out and the duration of the rest pause of moderate to low intensity work out in between is the heart rate of the individual.

The greatest advantage of weight training is that it exercises specific muscle groups to bring out their explosive strength. For instance, a raider who uses his leg muscles in footwork & leg thrusts during the raid can use weigh training to improve the explosive strength of his calf and leg muscles. The external resistance can be dumbbells, rubber or partner exercises, your own body weight, bricks, bottles of water, or any other object that causes the muscles to contract.

Cross country running is a sport in which teams and individuals run a race on open-air courses over natural terrain. SEndurance is one of the fundamental requirements for a Kabaddi player. Endurance can be developed with fitness training such as cross country runs, fartlek, interval training, circuit training etc. Cross country running helps in improving muscular endurance of the sports person. This is an endurance training designed to develop a reservoir of stamina and self control in the sportsperson while making his training enjoyable.
